Lexington Destination Guide

An Invitation to the Bluegrass

Welcome to The World’s Yearling Sale

Coined ‘The Horse Capital of the World’, Lexington rests in the bluegrass, where bourbon and horse countries unite. Each year, the international market converges at Keeneland where we celebrate our shared passion for the Thoroughbred.

We welcome you back to Lexington this year – to take part in the excitement and experience of Keeneland September, to catch up with old friends, to make new connections and to experience our lively culture capital.

Whether you’re staying for two days or twelve, we want to help you experience all that the Bluegrass has to offer – from excellent food to night life, bourbon and more. We’ve curated a selection of destinations and tips for you to consider during your stay, and we encourage you to reach out to a member of our team for any recommendations or to assist in your planning for the September Yearling Sale.

On behalf of the entire Keeneland team, we are excited to welcome you to Lexington and the September Yearling Sale.

We’ll see you when you get here.
